"…It wasn't too many years ago the Pocono Mountains of Pennsylvania were looked upon as a gustatorial Gobi. Now, with the Blakeslee (Inn & Restaurant) leading the way, it's becoming a destination for gourmands as well as race fans."

"..We lingered at the table, enjoying the ambiance and the company. The temptation of the Blakeslee Inn's Champagne Brunch almost made our friends reconsider the commitment to skiing on Sunday...almost, but not quite. "

" Dinner at the Blakeslee Inn and Restaurant is all about lingering. One last nibble of a grilled-apricot appetizer. A final bite of crab-crusted sea bass. Just one more cup of coffee to listen to another piece from the dining-room pianist... The Blakeslee Inn's impeccable yet thoroughly unobtrusive service is worth mentioning. Finish a salad, drain a glass, someone appears at your elbow, unbidden. It's uncanny yet hardly inexplicable. At one point I counted eight servers, bus boys, etc. circulating among perhaps 15 tables."

"We want to express our appreciation for the performance of your pianist-vocalist, John Gasper, whom we have appreciated two Saturday nights in a row. He is one of the reasons we choose to return to this fine inn. "

"Frankly, we made reservations at the Blakeslee Inn Restaurant based upon the reputation of Executive Chef Jim Evans. The food was exceptional, prepared to perfection. To say that our evening was pleasant is an understatement! Seating was immediate, and the service top notch. Try it - you'll be glad you did! Review on www.we8there.com."
